It’s almost Christmaaaaaas peeps which means that for those of you lucky lot in Europe… Christmas Markets & Snow!
Whilst I’m sure many of you are extremely organised and already have plans for December, I like to bet there are a few of you out there like me who are a bit more whimsical and likely to jump on a plane for a last minute European Christmas market weekend extravaganza!
So I did a bit of research on December hostel prices in Europe so you guys can figure out the best city for your budget this Christmas!
Tips To Get The Best Hostel Price in Europe this Christmas:
- Book directly with the hostel, as chances are their prices will be more competitive
- Use discount cards or loyalty cards to get the best price (click here for more information on those)
- If you’re travelling in groups, consider booking a private room as it may turn out cheaper individual beds
Note on the data:
I compiled the data from Hostelworld as it gave the best overview of the prices for the 7 day time period for each hostel. The average from each city is taken from the top 10 hostels listed according to “overall rating”. I aimed at collecting the prices for 8-bed mixed dorms, and where they weren’t available I went for the closest sized-dorm. If you’d like a copy of the raw data click here.
I’m considering creating a similar infographic for you for Valentine’s Day & Summer 2015 so let me know if you’d be interested to see something like this again!
Lots of love,
